Privacy Policy

Our approach

ResetRhythm is a wellness app for family caregivers. We are committed to collecting the minimum information needed to provide the service, keeping it secure, and giving you full control to withdraw consent, export, or delete your data at any time.

What we collect

• Account data: your email address, a password hash, and an optional display name.
• Care context you enter: the first name (or nickname) of the person you care for, their care stage, and any notes you choose to add.
• Check-in data: mood, stress, sleep, breaks, caregiving hours, interrupted nights, and any optional note you add.
• Community posts: the username you choose, plus any questions, replies and reactions you post in the forum.
• Care-plan progress: which checklist items you mark complete.

We deliberately do not ask for full names, addresses, phone numbers, medical records, insurance information, or diagnostic information. Please do not enter sensitive health identifiers about yourself or others in the free-text fields.

How we use it

Your data is used only to power features you can see in the app: showing your daily snapshot, working out your current stress stage, generating personalized suggestions, and tracking your Care Roadmap. We do not sell your data, and we do not use it for advertising or profiling outside the app.

Where it's stored

Data is stored in a managed Postgres database hosted on our cloud infrastructure provider. Access is protected by row-level security — each user can only read and write their own records — and communication with the app happens over encrypted HTTPS connections.

Retention

We keep your data for as long as your account is active. When you delete your account from Settings, your profile, care context, check-ins, community posts, and care-plan progress are permanently removed from our live systems.

Your rights

• Access & export: download a copy of all data associated with your account from Settings.
• Correction: edit your display name, loved-one context, notes, and check-ins directly in the app.
• Withdraw consent & delete: permanently delete your account and associated data from Settings, at any time and without giving a reason.

Cookies

We use a small number of strictly necessary browser storage items to keep you signed in. We do not use advertising or third-party tracking cookies.

Children

ResetRhythm is intended for adults (16+). It is not directed to children, and we do not knowingly collect data from anyone under 16.

Changes to this policy

If we make material changes, we will update this page and, where appropriate, ask you to review the changes the next time you sign in.
